The Acoustic Repertoire

The ISQ performs a wide range of well-known, much-loved classics and a blend of the best tunes and songs ever written.

We have a large selection of popular pieces written by the likes of Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, Handel and Tchaikovsky all of which are instantly recognisable by everyone.

Our easy listening selection contains love songs of the 20’s and 30’s of Gershwin and Cole Porter and jazz standards of Duke Ellington. We also a have a range of love songs by the likes of the Commodores, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain and Eric Clapton and a few surprises in some tracks from the likes of the Beach Boys and Led Zeppelin. All in all, there is something for everyone; something to uplift, relax, or get the toe tapping.

Having the ISQ at your function means that you can choose exactly what you wish to hear, or what you definitely don’t what to hear. This list is updated on a monthly basis. However if there is something not on our list that you really want us to play, we can arrange this for you.

The Dance Set

Our ‘dance set’ is totally unique in the whole of Ireland in that we arrange these songs with a tracked rhythm section (bass, keyboard, guitar and kit) so we can perform in a style never before associated with a string quartet. These songs are ideally suited for the evening reception at weddings, or parties or a more informal corporate function. Please feel free to request your favourite songs.

The Vocal Accompaniments

We have a library of vocal accompaniments specially arranged and suitable for responses during the wedding mass or for during the signing of the register. We can recommend and supply a top class vocalist, or a classically trained soprano, tenor or baritone depending on the style of music you require.
